Betty Jo moved to Florida five years ago, and after living in the Midwest her entire life, the lure of fun in the sun does call to her, but she's trying to balance work and play. Okay. So she does give into temptation now and then, but when she’s playing, her mind is still working. Ask her. She’ll tell you.

Betty Jo is working more and playing less because her creative ideas just won’t let her rest. In addition to writing new novels, she is an online instructor for Writers’ Digest University where she specializes in How to Write a Young Adult Novel and Second Draft Critiques.

"Hearts that are Real"

HEARTS THAT ARE REALWho would dream a young mother would find magic at her son's school carnival? Certainly not Ellen, who's been lonely since five-year-old Jimmy's father died. All the men her friends fix her up with are duds, and she's swearing off blind dates. Then a tattoo changes everything.

"Hearts that are Real" is available as a DiskUs Quick Pick for just $1.00.

"Loves Seafood and Sunsets, Can't Dance"
LOVES SEAFOOD & SUNSETSWhen Audrey sees a singles ad that says, "SWM, dark hair, dark eyes; loves seafood and sunsets, can't dance. Seeking red-haired beauty queen," she's sure it's the guy she dated years ago, looking for her. She wanted to hear those "three little words," but he never said them, so she found someone who did. Twelve years, as many pounds, and a failed marriage later, she's willing to take a chance.

"Loves Seafood and Sunsets, Can't Dance" is available as a DiskUs Quick Pick for just $1.00!
